Aerocity is the new posh destination in Delhi-NCR. It is buzzing with the most happening restaurants, bars and coffee shops in the innumerable 5 Star properties which are built here. Pullman Hotel is one such plush property in Aerocity which boasts of an Asian Restaurant – HONK, Pluck, Cafe Pluck and Pling – the Bar. Honk serves some authentic street style Asian food with its own touch to the flavors. This 120 odd seater restro has an eye for detail which is reflected in everything ranging from their interiors to cutlery.
Serving ‘smart street food’ is the moto at Honk, the food takes inspiration from the street-style cuisine popular in Asia. The presentation and décor is distinctly natural, invoking farm-style food of the region. The new menu has been carefully curated to showcase culinary influences from the diverse regions of Asia, primarily Chinese and Japanese with a glimpse of Thai and Singaporean as well as a touch of Indonesian cuisine.
Food Talks At Honk
At Honk, we emphasis on procuring the right ingredients like the Soy Sauce from Singapore or the Low Fat Tuna like Maguro from Japan, quality soft shell crabs from Chennai and more to provide an unparalleled dining experience to our guests at Honk.
The new addition to the HONK Asian menu is in the form of set 5/6/7 course fixed meal experiences namely;
Celebration (A 7 Course set menu)
Innovation (A 6 Course set menu)
Inception (A 5 Course set menu)
Our meal started with Raw Papaya Salad. The flavours were spot on with the earthiness of peanuts, the heat from chillies and salt from soya sauce. I am a big fan of fried asparagus Sushi, so when I was served I couldn’t stop appreciating the chef. The crunchy crispy tempura asparagus with the soft sticky texture of the rice is such a beautiful combination. Further, we tried Cajun Tuna roll that explodes with the meaty flavours of the Tuna is in sharp contrast to the acidic nature of the sauces that envelope it.
There was also the fragrant chicken on the table, which in itself was a wonderfully made chicken gravy dish full of oriental spices but for me, the Nanjing style duck had already stolen the show. Apart from this we treated our tastebuds with Pad Thai Noodles and Red Thai Curry. And of course, I wouldn’t leave Honk without the caramel chocolate and peanut parfait or the Trio of ice cream. Please welcome the new star in the city.
