North Indian food has long been our comfort food. However much we South Delhi socialites go out for modern Indian cuisine or French innovations, but at the end of the day, a good old dal makhni and naans are what we crave for. In the north Indian food, one of our favourite food is Dhaaba Food. Spicy yet filling, this is what people drive to Murthal for.
But going out for Dhaaba styled North Indian food also does become a chore. With traffic snarls becoming an everyday story, the happiness of having a belly full of food quickly evaporates with all the honking around in the traffic. This is where foodpanda comes to your rescue. Tired or just bored to get out of bed, switch on the foodpanda app which lists down the restaurants available in your region. Click on their menu and make your selections. Online payment with an assured delivery time is what made us use them. In mood for some Dhaba food, we chose a couple of things from the new Shirazine menu of The Leaping Caravan in Saket.

The Vegetarian Menu consists of delicious options such as Karnal ke Paneer Kofte, a paneer dish so soft that it melts the moment it touches the palate. The gravy is moderately rich but it’s the retention to salty taste that makes this one a winner as most koftas tend to take on a sweeter note. The warm, earthy taste of the daal is a perfect antecedent to the dishes without excess of butter killing of the beauty of the pulses.

We absolutely fall in love with the non vegetarian dishes. The Beeji Ka Chicken Bharta is an old recipe that is similar to Chicken Tikka Masala, the tikkas are shredded to bharta form. Also on the plate is the lip smacking RawalPindi Meat Curry, a typical old school across the border recipe where slow cooking and frying of spices are more common than the use of tandoor.
We polish all of these with some soft melt in your mouth Onion Paranthas and Green Chili Naans.

Often listed amongst the best beaches in the world, Anse Lazio in Praslin, Seychelles truly open gates to altogether new world. And let me tell you, reaching here was quite a journey. One has to reach the bottom of the hill to Zimbabwe either by car or bus, then one has to trek over a large forested jungle clad hill and along some way before you reach the beach. But the journey is well worth the effort with views that take your breath away perfect with fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise waters that are so clear you can watch the fish swim around you, it's no surprise Anse Lazio is frequently called 'the best beach in the world'.

We headed to the @Takamaka Rum Seychelles distillery with @Creole Travel Services where we fell in love with the slow pace, exquisite beach and two barrel aged rums. The Extra Dark is aged twice, first in French Oak and then in reused Bourbon casks for three years and the St. Andre which has been aged for eight years in American Bourbon casks. The Dakshin Yatra, Flavours from the South at crowneplazaokhla features a plethora of authentic flavours from the region.  For Starters: The scrumptious Paniyarams, both Savory and sweet ,medu Vada, Idiyappam with chicken curry and Idli with a plethora of chutneys to choose from coconut, raw mango, coriander and beetroot. Savour the curd rice with a wide range of non-vegetarian and vegetarian achaars (pickle's) including mutton, chicken , tuna, raw mango and karela.  In the mains, there is Pineapple and tomato rasam, Meen manga curry(fish), Kari krassi ( chicken), and variety of other vegetarian and non-vegetarian curry dishes from Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andhrapradesh accompanied with papadam and a choice of steam rice or mutton biryani and some regional breads like Kothu parantha.
