We tell you five reasons why Poland should be your next destination in these coming months.
The food
Polish cuisine is a combination of culinary traditions of many nations living in harmony for centuries. Polish cuisine draws inspiration from German, Austrian, Hungarian, Jewish cuisines as well as French, Turkish and Italian culinary traditions. The food is rich in meat, especially pork, chicken, beef, winter vegetables and herbs.
The Vodka
The word ‘vodka’ was recorded for the first time in 1405 in Poland. The country has the distinction of being the first in the world to both produce and export vodka (prepared traditionally from grain or potatoes). Try out their vodka whose acidic taste will give you a kick not easily forgotten.
Auschwitz
The most infamous Nazi concentration camp that became the centre of the Holocaust for European Jews during World War II. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site a trip through the remains is a walk through history.
Krakow
The old city of Kraków is considered the country’s cultural capital with gorgeous historic centre, countless monumental buildings and a few excellent museums.
The Scenic Countryside of Poland
The scenic countryside of Poland is a refreshing change from the hectic life of the cities.
