“As one desires , The universe conspires”. I think This is one of the most appropriate line to describe My relation with Farzi cafe . I have read and Heard a lot about them and Believe me it was more than twice or thrice that I planned to visit Farzi but never worked out. Finally Yesterday After a meeting I decided to catch up with My dear friends and BAM! The Venue was Farzi Cafe . Wish Fulfilled 😀
The word “Farzi” can have many multiple meaning in different languages and Most commonly in urdu it means FAKE but here at Farzi Café, it has just one it is just creating an illusion with the cuisine which is never seen before.
FARZI CAFE is known for the Molecular Gastronomy experience that it provides to it’s customers. Coming to now what is Molecular gastronomy ?. It is a blend of physics and chemistry to transform the taste and texture of food and the result of it is the New and innovative dining experience That FARZI CAFE provides us with.
As one of My dear friend and fellow blogger Ms Manitasha rightly said and I quote “Farzi Cafe is one of a kind. It is one of those rare places, where I can not describe my experience with a rating less than 5.0”. I totally agree with her as reading about it or viewing the pictures is a different experience but experiencing the same right in front your eyes is an Unforgettable Journey and al-together a different experience.
The interior is grand It is all done with Wood and Glass . They have an enormous Bar section. There were lot peculiar and unusual stuff written in the menu , Table mats etc which makes you indulge more and more
Coming to Food
Starters :
We started with Karela Calamari which was a totally veg dish made with karela but looked like calamari. They used Honey to overpower the bitter and sour taste of Karela.
Next to follow it was the Mini Raj kachori with Fried okra and foam reduction. I loved each and every ingredient that was used in it.
Sarso ke saag ki galouti and Dal Chawal Aranchini were the next items presented to us and believe me it was a complete vegetarians delight for us after eating that . my favorite was the crispy Tempura fried prawns.
In between of all this they served us the Sorbet ( Hajmola lollypop) as a palate cleanser.
For Drinks we tried :
Farzi Ok – It was a great mixture of Orange juice
Lichi panna desire – Perfect Balance of lichi and aam panna
Apple Jack was next to follow and I believe that It was jack of all trades of definitely the king of none.
We also Tried Italian smooch was an extra ordinary and flavorful drink with a twist.
For the mains we tried only 3 items as we wanted to avoid over eating
The journey started of with Pao Bhaji . The buns made in house were really soft . The Bhaji had fresh bocconicini cheese, bell pepper etc instead of mashed potatoes again uniqueness at it’s best.
Chikken Tikka Masala – . It was served in a London phone booth as it was invented in the Great Britain.
we ended the journey with South Indian spaghetti moily sauce –The dish had a fantastic flavors of the south Indian cuisine . A perfect winner for us
For Desserts
In a nutshell 5/5
with an exceptional rating on Zomato and very neat concept of modernizing Indian food. It may sound “farzi” but the idea of ParleG Cheesecake, Phirni and many more mind boggling dishes. It is totally commendable . A must visit for someone who loves to try something new!
Go and get #farzified at farzi cafe
I am definitely going back there for sure 😀
