Diwali is around the corner and all of you must be scrambling for gifts. Just like last year, Le Meridien Delhi has come out with a gifting range like never before. A Sattu (gram flour) based mithai was launched at an event where alcohol and sweetness came together on equal terms.

The beverage for the event were Jack Daniels and I got to try out some of their best range. Although the Jack Daniels Classic and the Gentleman Jack are two of my favourite American bourbons, the Woodford Reserve remains my perennial favourite. I had become a fan of it at Shatbi Basu’s class and it still tickles my palate like never before.
Before I come to the hero of the evening, I will be taking about the side kicks. There were a plethora of dishes including Jack Daniels as it’s base but nothing could match up to the Golgappa station where the sweet water had been infused with JD itself.
Let’s come to the hero itself now. The Sattu ke Laddu has been a torchbearer of the Maheshwari community for quite some time now. With high amounts of clarified butter(Desi Ghee) and protein from the Gram Flour, it might be one of the healthiest gifts this festive season.
