The inner and outer circle of Connaught Place has been already exploding with cafes and restaurants of all sorts. Every time we feel that the saturation point have been reached and that there is no more space left, some cafe sprouts up gracefully, fading the charm of existing ones. Restaurateurs are now helping the middle circle to expose (soon to be replaced by explode). Another entry is going to be made by Unplugged, but we are pretty sure that this is not going to be “just another addition”.

The sneak preview of Unplugged unveiled a much needed ambiance in the heart of Delhi. Winters are here and all Delhiites are looking forward to come out in the open and dine in the shade of the sun. Unplugged will cater to the culinary needs of the the body and emotional needs of the soul.

The restaurant has not yet disclosed the complete menu, but it is going to be a world cuisine with focus on presenting North Indian food with a sharp twist. An example we came across during the preview was that of Gol Gappas which were served above the short glasses. But the twist lied in the cheese which was filled in them. Other hints were galouti kebabs, aam aadmi chicken (will be available on all days, not alternate days), sunrise tomato cold kebabs, Amristari Macchi, Ganna chicken etc. The presentation of food was excellent and made us excited about how the Sunday brunches are going to be like!

They have an uninterrupted sitting on the terrace which is just next to the Odeon cinema. So if you are looking for a hideout in the Delhi winter, this is the place which will be on top of your list. The cowboy-farm kind of setting which opens up in the backyard is lit up with exotic lamps and covered with shady trees and is sure to leave you spellbound. This is what people look for on a typical Sunday Winter afternoon.
