Burma Burma comes to Noida and we are hopping mad over it. The Burmese vegetarian restaurant after creating waves in Gurgaon and Delhi finally steps foot in Noida and we headed over there as soon as we can.
One of the primary reasons I have always loved the food at Burma Burma is due to the fact that quite a few mock meat dishes are available here. One of the first ones that I try out is the trio of salads. There are quite a few of them including the Mock Meat Salad, the Grapefruit Salad and the Lotus Roots Salad.
The Mock Meat Salad has a full complement of hot, chilly flavours while the Grapefruit salad is the perfect amount of sour. There are quite a few other ones including Burma Burma’s signature Tea Leaf Salad and the Raw Mango Salad.
While I always have been a fan of their Bubble Teas, what I am really fell in love with this time were the Steamed Buns. Filled with a scrumptious filling, these super soft Buns make for quite a mouthful. On display are flavours including Roasted Onions, Mushroom and even Pounded Mock Meat.
The mains include a plethora full of flavours that range from tangy to umami. The Tea Leaf Fried Rice has a typical bitter taste while the trio of mushrooms makes for some lovely umami earthy flavours. No Burmese meal can be complete without Khao Suey and we weren’t gonna miss out on it. The explosion of a multitude of flavours on my palate had me enthralled already.
Desserts are the favourite part of any meal and the ones at Burma Burma truly impress quite a bit. The Coco Pina is a chilled Coconut Panacotta served with a dollop of Toffee and Pineapple is an absolute delight while the Steamed Buns packed with sweetened Coconut and Jaggery syrup remind me of my childhood in Kolkata (very similar to the Narkol Peethe). The newly opened Burma Burma is a lovely addition to Noida’s food scene and something that you must try out.
