The much needed Hive cafe in Green Park finally opens up. The place is above Fab India and spreads over two floors. The first thing that catches your eye is the gorgeous glass roof. The owner wanted to create a look and feel of monsoon, so he got a “waterfall sunroof” (I don’t know the technical name of this and sadly google was also not of much use). Being a monsoon person myself, I absolutely loved this idea.
Art pieces inspired by hives.
Both the floors are inspired by “beehives” and you’ll see beautiful art-pieces (some inspired by hives & some not). The art pieces are really well thought out and give a very “easy & chilled out” feel to the whole place.
The owner told me, a lot of people use this place to work as well during the day and they (hive owners) are happy to provide free wifi to them. There is live jazz during nights on Tue– Wed- Thu. We sampled a lot of things but let me list the things that work for me:-
1. The gorgeous Mocktails & Cocktails. OMG!! the mocktails. We were informed, keeping the “hive & bees” in mind, fresh honey is used in the drinks. I just absolutely loved every single one of them. On a hot summer noon, all of them would work & make you feel absolutely refreshed in minutes. My favorites were Cuban punch, Orange Blossom and clove lemonade.

2. The “cigar” flavored hookah. Loved it!
3. Food:-
i. Arancini- Fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella and served with cherry tomatoes and olive relish, absolutely delicious. The fried taste of the dish is absolutely balanced well with the freshness of the relish, the combination of the two is really good.
ii. Pan Seared Thai style Tofu & Potato cakes drizzles with Sweet Chilli sauce.
iii. Patata Brava- Not a big potato fan but really enjoyed this dish. The Pomodoro sauce was cooked to a perfection & complimented the potatoes really well.
