BarShala is India’s fastest growing chain of ‘friendly neighbourhood drinking restro- bars’ opened in Delhi by the Indospirit Group. The newsest outlet has come up in East of Kailash. BarShala’s USP is that it is not centralized and caters to customers’ locality wise. Whether it is hanging out with your friends after office hours, or discussing the next game of cricket over a chilled beer, BarShala is the perfect joint for you. The wide range of drinks are pocket friendly with the food expertly selected to complement the drinks perfectly. The menu features quick eats sans the main course. The Hinglish names of dishes add quirkiness and are quite catchy. There’s a ton of character in the décor too, with winks of Indian kitschy graphic and jazzy mosaics. A great place to be yourself in the relaxed and lively atmosphere, the place attracts students and working professionals alike. With this unique concept, this place is women- friendly which comes as a surprise. BarShala has four successful running outlets and soon you may find one in every locality.
A BOOZY AFFAIR
With unbeatable prices for the drinks, the foods also come across as decently priced. We tried the France ki Ungal (French fries) which were very crispy and served hot. Shami Kebab were prepared to perfection; dusted with pepper and served with mint chutney.
The Fried Momos was something to relish because of the fried food cravings of the rainy season. Bandar Chaat(peanuts), Mungeri Chaat(moong dal) and Aloo Chat are the regular muchies served with chopped onions, tomatoes, chilli and salad dressing.
Chicken Lollipop are also the favourite chakhnas with all the roasted goodness and the juicy chicken.
Fish Fingers were crispy on the outside with tender insides and enjoyed well with the mint dip. Dhadkan Chaat (chicken chaat) is also a great tasting option for chicken lovers with their favourite booze.
The vegatarians can try out the Nakli Murga(soya chicken) and Nakli Bakra (soya mutton) which gives such a realistic feel of its non- vegetarian counterparts.
