Baba’s Beans was launched in 2013, when two graduates of Gargi College, Sadhavi and Mrinal, decided to turn their coffee obsession as a career. Then began the deep research in this field which took the two friends to dense western Ghats to understand the crop and an intense training to produce a world class product from the the bean. The Brand “Baba’s Beans” is named after the Sufi saint, Baba Budan who in 16th century is said to have smuggled the first coffee seeds in the country. Baba’s beans offers an array of high elevation Single Estate, Single origin and Organic coffees of India, sourced from the finest coffee regions in the country. Baba’s Beans in its short lifespan has collaborated with reputed brands to bring home the charms of home-grown coffees.
The aroma hits you as soon as you enter the lobby level as the coffee bar is located right at the entrance of the hotel. The outside garden has also been given a beautiful Al Fresco setting. The variety in the menu is enormous. The Bar has a regular menu and a Lab Menu for those who are willing to experiment the exotic variety. Amongst Baba’s Beans signature offerings is the “FOREST IN THE CUP” a special syphon brewed spiced coffee infused with cardamom, cloves and cinnamon which one must try. Another highlight from the Lab Menu are the CANTATAS, specially designed coffee platters. From the regular menu, not to be missed listings are the CARAMEL HAZLENUT COLD COFFEE and THE AFFOGATO ORANGE CRUSH. To add to the experience, a food menu curated by Food stories, owned by Chef Mousim Sidana is offered to pair with the coffees.
