Asus launched it’s new range of smart phone at the ZenFestival at Jawarharlal Nehru Stadium. There was a huge turnout to witness this global launch. VJ and actor Cyrus Shukar was the host for the event and kept the crowd entertained.
A Broadway Act of drummers kick-started the event, The performers carrying percussion and drum sticks, wearing hats with LED lights, made a grand entrance through the crowd in the dimmed stadium. As the lights on the stage were turned on, the drummers started playing and two acrobats started performing on the stage. The performance kept getting more exciting by the minute with the drummers being lifted in the air and the acrobats performing on the stage below them. The act was mesmerizing.
The Chairman of Asus, Jonney Shih, informed the audience about the tremendous growth that Asus has seen in the mobile phone market in India and introduced his new line of smart phones.
Zenfone 2 Deluxe (INR 22,999) is a gorgeous dual-sim phone with polygonal designs and amazing finish at the back. It comes with 5.5 inch 1080p screen with Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes with many unique features, It is powered by Intel Z3580 chips and is the world’s first 4GB ram smartphone. The base storage is 128GB. It has a 13MP PixelMaster camera which has 400% better HDR and low light photography. The front camera is 5MP. It has 3,000 mAh battery with a boost master technology which can help you to fast charge your phone. It can do 60% in 39 min.
Zenfone 2 Laser (starting at INR Rs 9,999) too has some amazing features. It comes with a 13MP PixelMaster rear camera and a 5MP 85% wide angle front camera. It has a laser auto focus feature which helps you focus really quickly and a dual LED real-tone flash which takes clicking picture to another level. The camera performs amazingly in low light as the low light mode make the picture 400% brighter.The back light mode helps you to click easily in daytime shadow. They have taken their camera features to next level. But, this phone is not just about camera. The phone has a 5 inch HD screen and comes with a new Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which gives the screen and the phone more strength. The screen to body ratio is 70% which gives you a better viewing experience. The performance of this phone is also pretty good because it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and a 2GB RAM.
Asus design center director, Jen Chuang, introduced the new Zenfone Selfie (INR 15,999). This phone is designed for those who love to click a lot of selfies and pictures in their day to day life. It comes 13MP front and back cameras with the PixelMaster technology. The front camera has 88 degree wide angle lens which helps you capture more in one picture. This one also has Dual LED real-tone flash but in both, front and back cameras. The cameras also come with HDR mode, Low Light mode, Beautification Mode and Selfie Panorama Mode. The Zen motion helps take your phone directly to selfie mode by just drawing an S on screen.
Superstar Sonakshi Sinha came on-stage for the launch of Zenfone Selfie. Her presence generated a lot of excitement in the crowd.
After she left the stage, PixelMaster technology was explained. They compared other phone camera quality with their phone’s camera. They even called people randomly from the audience to compare selfies taken with Zenfone Selfie with their phone and there was a huge difference. They have really worked on their phone technology to bring something new to people. The camera features in each of the Zenfones is really worth looking forward to.
After they finished with comparison, they called Jonney Shih back on the stage. He introduced one more new phone that is going to launch in October. The phone is called Zenfone Max. The phone comes with a whooping 5000mAh battery in premium body design. It also works as a powerbank. This phone also will be seen with 5MP front and 13MP rear PixelMaster cameras with all the other add ons like Laser Auto Focus and Dual LED real-tone flash. The screen has Gorilla Glass 4 on it. And in terms of performance, they are not lacking anywhere. The phone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 64 bit processors.
He then introduced their new mascot Zenny, who is the cutest owl. Cyrus and Zenny had good fun on stage.
Jen Chuang introduced their new tab, ZenPad 8.0, which come with amazing features. The screen to body ratio is 76.5% and the screen comes with VisualMaster which enhances your viewing experience. It comes with extra features like Tru2life which gives you wider contrast level and sharper picture quality. What really is amazing about this tab is that it comes with 6 speakers which also includes 1 sub-woofer and with that they give you DTS-HD premium sound and sonic master technology which makes your audio experience unbelievable. One good part about it is that you can customise it with various different looks as they have several different types like Zen Clutch and Audio cover. This tab also has 8MP PixelMaster Rear camera. Asus will be launching tabs in several different models at very reasonable rates.
As the show came to an end, Sonakshi Sinha came on-stage again with members of the ASUS company.
The lobby area of the stadium by full of buzz as people checked out the demo phones available there. There was a separate booth to explain the PixelMaster technology. Digital Grafitti Wall, Photo-op Zone and Tattoo Zone really caught the attention of the crowd.
Asus Zenfone range is really impressive and the launch event, Zen Festival was equally fun.
