Few days back while breaking bread with few of my colleagues we were discussing that how there is a dearth of good Asian food home delivery outlets in our city. All I can recall is a disappointing Indian version of authentic Chinese food served with green chilies in vinegar and packed in plastic packets , fastened by rubber band and it becomes messy and badly presentable.
Now I am Introduced to a place Called “Asian Haus” by one of my co – blogger where the home delivery is prompt and the packaging is not taken as a joke. I was so impressed after I received those hard, non flexible brown cardboard boxes with a red stripe all over making a beautiful pattern was simply amazing and a divine experience.
The food was piping hot and packed in hygienic containers and sealed properly with sheets and each dish had a label attached to it so that a person is not left confused. The best part about it is still those disposable chopsticks that they provided in their own customised cases just the same way we get it in a fine dine establishment.
The food within was carefully packed in plastic containers and heat-sealed with plastic sheets, each box electronically labeled with the name of the dish (not hand written), the entire lot accompanied by disposable chopsticks in their own little cardboard cases, Impresive!.
Food Talks
Spicy Rice Cakes – It is still one of the most popular street food in Korea. The quality of the rice cake and the flavour of the pepper dish made it a great combination to cherish.
Sichuan Spicy Chicken – a dish that has everything going for it. It’s legendary. It’s dramatic. It’s mouthwatering (to me, anyway). And despite its deadly spicy look, it’s actually really good. The smokey and spicy flavour of this wok fried dish makes it special.
Murtabak- This is a dish originated in Yemen and is very popular in South East Asia specially Indian and Singapore. It has layers of dough alternating with the lamb filling to create a savoury parcel. This is best eaten hot, plain or with pink pickled onions.
Basil Minced Chicken – is one of the classics of Thai food . It is popular among the Thais and known as a no-brainer dish. Minced chicken with holy basil proves to be a lip smacking combination.
Basil rice veg – Wok fried rice with basil and hint of fresh basil leaves and a variety of veggies.
Pad thai veg- A decent stir fried rice noodles goes well with curry.
Dimsums pak choy corn and chicken scallion dumplings – The dumplings proved to be the major highlight of the evening for me. I’ve not tasted such good dumplings in a long time. Both the veg option with Spinach and corn and the non vegetarian chicken scallion proved to be winner for me.
In a nutshell 4.5/5 to the place after a long time had such an extensive and pleasing encounter with Asian Food
