Ardor has been a monolith of central Delhi since long. Frequented by expats and people from all over the Delhi, the restaurant offers a selection of lip smacking food while the lounge offers a beautiful dim lighted ambience with cushioned sofas to party the night away.
Built over two floors, Ardor offers a mix of cuisines which is very much a norm in Central Delhi. A squeaky clean kitchen ensures top quality food. But it’s the twin ambience that make you fall in love with it. The lower floor houses a Lutyens Delhi type of architecture replete with high ceilings and chandeliers. Evenings usually consist of live Ghazal performances while the level above promises a low lit environs perfect to cozy up and dance the night away.
The new range of beer cocktails impress a lot, specially the Hoegaarden Mojito. The food also leaves a mark with a special note on the Chicken Seena. A mince made of Chicken along with spices stuffed into marinated chicken legs and set on the Tandoor. The Chicken sizzler also spikes up our taste buds while the thin crust Mexican pizza had the right mix of spice and sour. Although, it is called a thin crust pizza but it’s actually a CP crust pizza. A crust born out of the marriage because south Delhi adores the thin crust while the rest of Delhi is still hungover with the thick crust of Domino’s. It manages to impress both the sensibilities without compromising on the taste.
Ardor’s brand new management and menu might just ensure change in the rechristened hotspot of the town, Connaught Place.
