Mehrauli to me is yet another urban village like Hauz Khas, and Shahpur Jat, where up class restaurants are located in modernized villages and are patronized by the social elite of Delhi. Thai High is one of those restaurants for me.

The joint should be visited during daytime when you can clearly see magnificent ancient monuments of the archeological park – Jamali Kamali, and the majestic Qutab Minar. Go for the open roof-top, rather than sitting within the confines of air-conditioned space.

They have a wide variety of dishes in their menu . We started the journey with Crispy Lamb and Steam Fish topped with Lemon Grass Tamarind. The crispy lamb was really crispy and full of flavours , the mustard oil used in the dish was also of really good quality .

Sliced Pork and Prawns in green curry. Sliced pork was spicy and full of vegetables. It was not too oily and pork was not too chewy.

The desserts were a big let down, we were in mood to order 3 desserts after seeing their wide variety in Desserts but to our disappointment the cheesecake and banoffee pie was not available so we had to settle with Dates on Fire. The spicy pudding with a hint of alcohol and dates as the essence failed to please us.

In a nutshell 4/5. To sum it up Thai High is one of the best places to go for a romantic dinner. The spectacular view of the Quatab Minar along with some excellent Thai food make it worth a visit.
