Although Gurgaon is burgeoning under the weight of new eateries which is opening every other day to impress but pacing ahead steadily with some top class service and palatable offerings is “Glasshouse – World Cuisine Restaurant”

 

Glass House offers a varied selection of some of the most in-demand cuisine from all around the globe to it’s patrons. They have a lavish spread of dishes in Breakfast and Dinner buffers in addition to that an extensive Al a Carte Menu is also glorifying the name.

Double level glass ceiling, full of natural light, live and very dim music in the background and ample private space for diners marks the first impression of the place and which is an ideal for a customer from all walks of life.

Food Talks

The restaurant offers a variety of mocktails, alcoholic based cocktails and straights. They have some tried and tasted recipes along with some spin offs on the classic by their executive chef Vikas Pant.IMG_20150520_133213

We started the journey with Mulligatawny soup a traditional lentils soup flavoured with Indian spices a very generous and creamy broth and the best part about it is the explosion of flavors from various components in the soup hitting your tongue and makes you drool for more.

Next to follow it was the Tomato and Mozzarella salad is one of the best way to beat the summer heat. If I had to describe it in three words I would say ” Fresh , Refreshing and Filling”.

Artichoke and Prawns salad had an adequate crispiness of prawns combining in a loving harmony with artichokes and other flavors making it a perfect combination to eat.

Appetizers such as Tandoori sole tikka , subzi aur mewa seekh and bhati ka murgh tikka is too hard to ignore.The bhatti ka murgh tikka explodes on the palate with a great multitude of various combination of spices giving it a rich and unique flavor.Subzi aur mewa seekh for me is something like authenticity and experimentation on a single platter.

Roast chicken is soft juicy chicken with fresh vegetable. Creamy wild mushroom risotto is scented with white truffle oil.

Gohst Biryani is one of the best mutton biryani I’ve tasted in the recent times and the Dal Makhani is something to die for.IMG_20150520_155617

The journey ended on the same high note as it started we were served the Hazelnut Mousse which is a creamy and billowy textured luscious chocolate dessert.

In a nutshell 4.5/5 to a restaurant after a long time. There was not a single iota of fault that I could pin point.Dinner buffet is priced at 1495++ and Breakfast Buffet is 625++  serving a wide variety of the patrons , Glasshouse crushes it’s competition with a very well traveled chef at helm, impressive food and typical Hilton hospitality and attention to detail.
