I got the chance to meet some amazing fashion and lifestyle bloggers at a fashion label launch at Smokey’s BBQ and Grill, GK 2. We discussed fashion and the collection over great food and drinks.
Anvi Aneja, a young, smart and talented fashion designer, launched her fashion label, Bonhomie, recently. The label targets women in the age group of 14 to 30 plus and addresses their need to look fashionable and stylish without costing a bomb. The collection comprises of pieces in the price range of Rs 499 to Rs 1799, which is ideal for students and young working women.
The collection is up to date with the fashion trends currently popular worldwide. It consists of denim, fringe, lace, crop tops, maxi dresses, floral prints and a lot more. Anvi might have finished her college just last year, but she really understands fashion well. The crisp cuts, subtle embellishments , and contemporary designs with a fusion of Indian and western sensibilities without any compromise on the quality of the fabric is the hallmark of this label.
A highlight of the launch show was that instead of professional models, Anvi’s own friends sported outfits from her collection, showcasing how the collection can be sported by women with different heights and body types. In fact Anvi herself sported an outfit, which had the same print as dresses worn by two other women, to show how the collection works for women of different age groups, body types and style sense. All the ladies looked very beautiful.
Currently, her collection is available mojolane.com, which is an e-commerce portal by the brother-sister duo, Amber Aneja and Anvi Aneja. Under Mojolane, there has many different labels other than the women’s wear label Bonhomie, like Via Italia and Cool Quotient Kids for kids, Cool Quotient for graphic Tees, and Saints & Nomads for men, some of which are yet to be officially launched. The collection is expected to be available on other popular e-commerce portals as well soon.
