We recently headed off to the Leela Palace in New Delhi to try out their new menu that has been created as a new Chef takes charge of the kitchen. We started off with a Yoghurt Pannacotta with Ginger Ale and Chia Seeds for a refreshing start.
For the entrees, we tried out an Asian style Salmon pastrami along with some pickled vegetables and citrus Vanilla Gel along with a crispy Nori sheet. For the next course, we dive into a Foggotini of Edamame & Water Chestnut, Truffle Potato, Garlic Cream, Spring Onion Foam and some Tobiko to round it all off.
For the mains, we fell in love with a five-spiced sous Vided Duck Breast served with Butternut Squash, Lavender glazed Potato along with some Port Wine Star Anise jus. The soft Duck combined quite well with the potato mash and wine jus to create a medley of flavours on the palate. For dessert, we dig into a Chocolate Tart served along with Adzuki Bean jelly and Chocolate Sorbet.
The menu, as usual, is quite interesting and allows the best of Leela’s Chef’s ability on point.
