On Day 3 of our Singapore trip, we decided to head over to the Resorts World Sentosa on the Sentosa island to enjoy some of the attractions present there. Now, Resorts World Sentosa is a full-fledged family destination that has Universal Studios along with the SEA Aquarium, Madame Tussauds and a whole lot of other attractions along with restaurants to tuck in.

Sentosa, Singapore

But it is getting to Sentosa that’s quite good. Although you can book yourself a cab or take the MRT, you must head to the island on the Mount Faber Cable Car. We first head to the starting station for the cable car ride at the Harbourfront Tower 2 where you can buy yourselves the tickets. Now the Cable Cars are divided into two major lines, one operating to and from Mount Faber to Resorts World Sentosa along with a stop at the towers. The second line moves within Sentosa transporting you from one place to another.

Sentosa, Singapore

After buying our tickets, we headed up the lift to the station where we board our Cable Car to take us to Sentosa. The car takes you over the Harbourfront of Singapore with the sapphire blue waters of the Sea topped off with a few yatches and ships on the marina. There’s also an amazing view of the waterpark from above as you head over to the Sentosa Station. Just as you exit from the line, there is a large souvenir shop which is a bit too high on the price points but if you’re looking to get some souvenirs specific to Resorts World Sentosa, do not hesitate to buy.

Turn to your right as you head out from the station to get to the Imbiah Lookout Station to head to the Merlion Station. On getting down, you will be able to see a gigantic Merlion statue before moving towards the SEA Aquarium. It’s almost a kilometre to walk down and you will see a number of restaurants along the way. You can collect your tickets for the SEA Aquarium before heading inside.

The SEA Aquarium has been on my bucket list for quite some time now, ever since my father had gone therein 2011 and 2012. It has a multitude of aquariums showcasing the best of marine life from all over the world. It starts with the tunnel where you can see the sharks, a scene that looks straight out of the movie Jaws. Then you move onto the other areas where you can see a whole lot of new kinds of fishes in a whole palette full of colours.

Sentosa, Singapore

The Aquarium then moves to other parts where you can view the coral reefs where you can find the vibrancy of the seas and even the fish with horn-like projections. I also decided to get a picture clicked with a Pufferfish before moving onto a large area where the Open Ocean Habitat is located. Here you can sit down and have a snack while observing these fishes float about in the sea.

After spending over an hour there looking at the schools of fish and manta ray swim by, we decide to head over to the Sea Jellies which can be seen in a variety of colours. There is also the Giant Pacific Octopus sitting grumpily in one corner along with humongous crabs measuring more than a human.

Sentosa, Singapore

After our visit to the SEA Aquarium, we had a Dimsum lunch at Din Tai Fun before heading out for the latter part of our tour to Mount Faber. After buying ourselves a whole lot of souvenirs to take back home, we take the Cable car towards the Mount Faber side. The scenery below extends over tropical forests and heads over to Mount Faber where there are some restaurants, and a beautiful view to head out to.

We headed over to @evenkeelasolas in Fort Lauderdale to try out some fresh seafood, offering a modern take on Floridian Coastal cuisine. The restaurant has a casual yet trendy ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's located on one of the numerous piers dotting Fort Lauderdale's waterways We tried out the Oysters served with hot sauce, tarragon and lime along with a smoked fish dip and a shrimp ceviche. We followed it up with Himachi Poke Gyoza Tacos, grilled Octopus and a hot Lobster Roll. We finished it of all with a gigantic Bloody Mary. #snsxusa #saltandsandals #foodphotography #foodblogger #travelwriter #travelwithme #traveldiaries #florida #miami #fortlauderdale

I am never a fan of getting myself clicked but a tryst with history had a fan girl moment in me.
🏵️
During my graduation in history from Delhi University, I was a big fan of Roman history. So when I was actually in a historical place right out of my books, I couldn't stop myself from getting?

Often listed amongst the best beaches in the world, Anse Lazio in Praslin, Seychelles truly open gates to altogether new world. And let me tell you, reaching here was quite a journey. One has to reach the bottom of the hill to Zimbabwe either by car or bus, then one has to trek over a large forested jungle clad hill and along some way before you reach the beach. But the journey is well worth the effort with views that take your breath away perfect with fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise waters that are so clear you can watch the fish swim around you, it's no surprise Anse Lazio is frequently called 'the best beach in the world'.

Sniffing is one of the essential steps to enjoying the flavour of any new drink. Sniffing opens up a new array of flavours that you can experience on your palate.

When traveling, definitely discover a Beverage destination. We headed to the @Takamaka Rum Seychelles distillery with @Creole Travel Services where we fell in love with the slow pace, exquisite beach and two barrel aged rums. The Extra Dark is aged twice, first in French Oak and then in reused Bourbon casks for three years and the St. Andre which has been aged for eight years in American Bourbon casks. Which one should we get back for tasting?
