The hospitality of Taj Hotels has always impressed me but my recent visit to Dubai had me fawning at the grandeur that Taj exudes. Located in the Business Bay area, the Taj Hotel in Dubai is located at one of the busiest parts of Dubai overlooking the Al Jawara and the Mall of Dubai. Here are a few of the reasons why you should check into Taj Dubai the next time you’re in town.
The Taj Hospitality
Taj has always been known for its lovely hospitality and it starts from the time you step into the hotel and pervades into all of its sections. Starting from the front desk to the Club Lounge and each one of the restaurants, the Taj Hospitality makes you feel amazing about yourself.
The Suite at Taj Dubai
We stayed on the 25th-floor suite and absolutely fell in love with the view of the city and AL Jawara looking on. Our suite has a small kitchenette along with a dining and drawing room before finally opening into a gigantic bathroom and bedroom. Everywhere you look, there is a bit of resplendent Indian motifs and statues that had us home even in a far off land. Check out this youtube video to know how luxurious our room was.
Where to eat at Taj Dubai?
Taj Dubai has a multitude of places where you can get yourself a meal. Their all-day dining restaurant serves a lovely breakfast that has quite a bit of local Arabian and even Indian food. We quite enjoyed the local Egg specialty Shambushak here. The restaurant transforms into a Pan Asian restaurant in the night.
The Club Lounge offers you another place to grab some breakfast and even some tea in the evenings. We dig into platter full of sandwiches, dates and desserts to go along with our coffee.
The hotel’s Indian restaurant Bombay Brasserie is the third after South Africa and England and puts out some of the best Indian food that you can find in Dubai. The menu, headed by Chef Falana Falana consists of an amazing range of Kebabs, curries and other bread made in the most quintessential Indian style ever. We start off with a platter of starters that consists of the Tandoori Chooza and Bhatti Prawns. For the mains, there is some Kosha Mangsho and Luchis to evoke the Bengali in us while finishing up with some Bengali indulgences in the form of a Roshogolla.
Amenities
If you’re planning to do some shopping at the Dubai Mall, the Taj Dubai, being quite nearby offers a shuttle service to and from the mall every hour. There’s also the spa and swimming pool for you to relax.
