Saturday morning became an absolute beautiful morning with Kaffa Cerrado Coffee Crawl. What I absolutely loved about the crawl was that it was educative and absolutely delicious. After trying so many types of coffee, I got to know which coffee actually suits my tastebuds.
Stop 1: Perch
We all met at Perch, the first coffee which was handed to us was Ethopian Coffee. Ethopian Coffee is a mild coffee and it leaves a fruity taste in the end. It is made by hand and by a pour over method.
Fun fact : Each Kaffa Cerrado coffee is weighed and made by a trained barista. Every Coffee blend for a restaurant is curated by Kaffa Cerrado after studying the cuisine of the place.
The next one was the Columbian Coffee which was made by aeropress technique. The Columbian Coffee has a bitter taste and milk is added to make the taste a little neutral.
Fun Fact: Coffee tastes different when its hot vs when lukewarm. I personally preferred the hot coffee taste more as compared to the lukewarm taste.
Out of the two coffee i.e Columbian and Ethopian Coffee, I preferred the Ethopian Coffee. The coffee had the right amount of bitterness and you don’t need to add anything extra. No extra milk, no extra sugar. So say no to unnecessary calories! (:p)
Stop 2: Sly Granny
We tried Turkish coffee i.e. Ibrik at Sly Granny which is a non-fllter coffee. Ibrik is the copper utensil (view cover photo) which is used to brew the coffee and its a traditional Turkish way of brewing. Ibrik is full of spices and is absolutely delightful.
We had poached eggs and peanut butter pancakes with our coffee. The newly introduced breakfast went well with my coffee and was absolutely delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Stop 3: Civil House
Next on the stop was Civil House. Civil House is serving only machine made coffees, so I had a classic cup of cappuccino. There is no greater joy of having a good cup of cappuccino.
Stop 4: Soda Bottle Openerwala
Last on the stop was Soda Bottle Openerwala and we tried their cold brews. We tried three of the flavors i.e. Staranise, classic and hazelnut. My favorite out of the three was hazelnut. I prefer hot brews over cold brews.
