What all we tried out at the Mangalorean Food Festival?
One of the first things that we experienced was the Kokum Sherbat which uplifts your mood the moment it touches your palate. We then move onto a plethora of starters that adorns the plate along with some of the traditional chutneys from down south. We try out the Rawa Fried Fish along two Ghee Roasts that will have you salivating at the corners: the Chicken and the Tiger Prawns.
The mains include a plethora of non-vegetarian dishes that I decided to hog on, quite literally. The Kori Gassi is a Bunt styled Chicken curry served on top of Neer Dosa and Kori Roti. There’s also some Yoghurt Rice with tempered Curry Leaves and a Mutton Stew that absolutely delicious. The perfect way to end the meal is with a Kandalebele Payasam and a Tender Coconut Payasam, two sweet dishes that still ring true on the palate.
