Detroit CP is heaven for all carb lovers. I am a foodie but I have never ever eaten so many carbs in my entire life.
Based in the heart of Delhi, Detroit CP has a car theme. You can actually dine in a swanky car and drink too. Two things which have really made me fall in love with Detroit CP are their well conceptualized interiors and their carb loaded food.
Theme: Cars
Getting inspired from the Detroit city which is the homeland for Ford cars, the restaurant interiors is completely packed with automobile inspired accessories. The dj console is made from a bus while the hand wash area in the restroom has the petrol pump fuel disposing nozzle in place of the regular taps.
Each and every area has been so well thought out, its an absolute delight. The walls have different car models painted in pure white. One wall has actual automobile parts painted in white and its a beautiful art installation. Whoever has conceptualized the place, you have done a fab job.
The cutlery and serving trays are also inspired from automobiles. There are trucks and cars serving our various food and you are actually looking forward to food presentation.
The Food
This place would be a delight for any kid or a grown up (who refuses to grow up and can’t stop binging on those carbs). If you had a break up or just simply having a bad day, the food is loaded with carbs and can give any sad soul a happiness rush.
My top picks from their menu:-
1. Cheetos Pizza-This is something you just can’t miss. Pastry sheets form the base and its loaded with Mac and cheese, which is topped with Cheetos. This can make anyone a very very VERY happy kid. I absolutely loved the combination of the crisp puff pastry base with the gooey Mac and cheese.
2. Mini Macs- These are tarts stuffed with Mac and cheese. Again there is a beautiful play of texture- crisp tart with gooey Mac & cheese. To add a little freshness, its served with a watermelon rucola salad.

3. Cottage cheese jammers- This is cottage cheese on a skewer wrapped with noodles, deep fried. Its served with a mint chutney and is absolutely delicious.
4. Detroit Dogs- If presentation could kill, this dish could actually do some serious damage. Served in a bus, this dish could make any kid a very happy kid. Crispy fried potato with chicken served with mayo and ketchup.
5. All American Tacos- After eating so many carbs, my tummy was craving for veggies and I ordered this. Loaded with veggies, this taco is utterly delicious. It is served with a salsa dip and sour cream on the side.
