I head to the Connaught Place in search of new places to eat. I head to The Imperial Spice to try out some of their new creations as the restaurant serves out Indian, Pan-Asian and Continental food in equal measures. The restaurant acts as a perfect place for a time out with friends with it’s long list of cocktails along with some scrumptious food.
One of the first cocktails that I try out the Jack n Jill, which combines Jack Daniels with coffee to give it a hit of bitteriness along with peanut butter. The Herby Rozy combines Gin with Kaffir Lime, Star Anise, Litchi juice and Rose water.
What should you try at The Imperial Spice?
Let’s get to the food now. The Indian section features quite a few dishes that we recommend and you should definitely try out. The Signature Black Stone Chaat which combines three Chaat altogether: the Palak Patta Chaat, Chukandari Chenna Bhalla and Aloo Chaana Chaat assembled on a cold black stone. The Paan Paneer Tikka infuses a bit of Paan marmalade into the quintessential Paneer Tikka giving it a fresh new flavour. The Quinoa Broccoli Shaami offers a healthy new twist to the classic Shaami while the Tawa Lamb Chops are distinctly spicy and the tender meat literally glides down your throat. There’s a Khaas Seekh combines the succulent pieces of Lamb Seekh Kebab with peppers but what really excites me is the Flambeed Sikandari Raan.
The pizza menu features a Turkish pizza with lamb mince on top or a Rogini Naaz Pizza which you can top off with Paneer or Chicken Tikka. We also recommend the assorted Bruschetta platter and the Panko & Wasabi Mushrooms. The Moroccan Prawns combines the sweet, juicy favour of the prawn with the Mediterranean spicy flavour. In the mains, you should definitely try out the Rustic Chilli Chicken from the Pan-Asian section, Pan seared Norwegian Salmon with Pepperonata and Olive Caper with Peurre Blanc from the Global Section and the Signature Kesari Paneer Roll in the Indian Section. We end our meal with a delectable Signature Lehsoon(Garlic) ki Kheer and Gajerela Kunafa.
