Tamra at the Shangri-La Eros hotel, always keep on innovating with their menu and this time they decided to do Turkish Indulgence. The fascinating part of the whole experience is the authenticity of the flavors. Shangri-La run exchange program between their various properties. Chefs from different countries travel to the other properties with their native flavors and recipes, to recreate the authentic taste of their cuisine. For their Turkish Indulgence, chefs came from the property at Shangri-La Bosphorus Istanbul.

About the Turkish Indulgence

Turkish Indulgence

Turkish Indulgence was a week long promotion at Shangri-La’s Delhi property and everyday the menu had different delicacies from the Turkish cuisine. What really won my heart was their kidney beans salad, their chickpeas stew and their turkish risotto. Turkish cuisine has a lighter use of spices, so it was refreshing to eat less spicy food without the taste of dishes being bland.

About Tamra as a concept

Different workstations aka theatres

Tamra believes in “world on your plate”. The concept is to have different cuisines with their authentic flavors for the diners. They have designated chefs for different cuisine and each team has local/native chefs of the cuisine’s origin. They have various workstations or as the team Tamra likes to call it “theatres” where different cuisines are given their limelight. The menu changes everyday, so that the residents at the hotel don’t get bored with the food (that is a really huge dedication towards hospitality, A BIG THUMBSUP TO TEAM TAMRA!!!).

My absolute favorites from the menu

I liked the whole buffet in totality but some dishes which I high recommend and even if you are full, you HAVE TO try them.

  1. Their Thai green curry is simply beautiful. We absolutely loved their asian counter but the Thai curry was a stanout dish and we highly recommend.
  2. Chicken teppanyaki at their Japanese theatre. A must try!
  3. Their freshly made home ICE CREAMS. Oh my God! where should I even begin. I feel Tamra should start selling them in containers. What really stumped me were the flavor combinations. Ever tried avocado with chocolate chips or brown bread with brown sugar ice cream? I know they sound weird but if you try it, you’ll know what I am talking about!

These are our top picks, let me know what all you liked from their menu in our comments section.
