SHORT READ ON TANDDAV (IF YOU ARE READING ON THE GO)
After introducing the Dilliwalas with the much acclaimed restaurant such as Smokey’s BBQ and Grill and Circus. Restauranteur Shivkaran singh and team is back with his latest brainchild “Tanddav”. This time, the party destination for us is not Hauz Khas Village or Khan Market but this amazing restaurant in the ever buzzing Masjid Moth market of Greater Kailash part-2. The place also provides an attractive setting to break bread with our loved ones. Must tries include John Dory Confit, Lamb Massaman Slider and Churros in a chocolate ball. Price for 2: INR 2000 with alcohol.
Long Read ( For Reading At Leisure)
Located at the same spot where Smokey’s BBQ in G.K-2 was located. The interiors have been carefully designed keeping a feel of a sophisticated and upscale Bar. The place is spread across two floors and both the floors have been designed equally well. The menu has been smartly crafted taking care of the signature dishes churned out by their chef and also the popular dishes that is an all time favourite of the audience. The bar menu is as big as the food menu, their team of mixologists has come up with some great concoctions which includes a wide array classic and signature cocktails.
We started our meal with a lip snacking appetiser Calamari Bhel. The dish is an excellent amalgamation of fried calamari and South Indian bhel. Moving further, the pan fried Mushroom Gyozas stole the show for us. Next on our plate was the Lamb Massaman slider which made this culinary journey far more interesting. Heading on to the mains, we opted for Burrata Ravioli which is tossed in butter and sage sauce. The main highlight turned out to be the Jon Dory Confit. This tender and delicate fish was cooked to perfection by the chef at Tanddav. We ended the journey on a sweet note with an array of their signature desserts. The main attraction being Churros in Chocolate Ball.
In a nutshell, finally we have a place that serves old memories in a new style and is the kind of place that our city needed. It has a brilliant concept and the best part being the audience able to relate to it. We have an abundance of places in Delhi to promote food and nightlife but something out of box was the need of the hour and Tanddav rightfully claims to be different.
