Ensemble is India’s pioneer multi-designer store at DLF Emporio, Saket. The store organized a special preview of the latest sari collection, with both embroidered and handwoven saris that are suitable for different occasions. The collection has been designed and curated by renowned labels like Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, Neeta Lulla, Madsam Tinzin, Raw Mango, Anushka Khanna and many more.
Since a few close ones of mine are getting married this winter, I had sari and shopping on my mind and jumped at the thought of this preview. And there is no better place than Ensemble to find the best of designers under one roof, where you can compare different styles, get a touch and feel of the work, and buy your favourites.
As we entered, a beautiful display of mannequins with saris greeted us. On the right side there is a section of embroidered and heavy saris and on the left, handwoven saris and hand-loom saris, all sorted by designer. The colour palate is gorgeous with sunset yellows, rose pinks, desert rose, pearly ivory, seaside aquas, and many more.

From Dilnaz’s delicate and sparkly net and lace saris, to Tarun Tahiliani’s glam ones, to Sabyasachi’s dreamy and rustic floral ones, my mind automatically started matching events and people with the saris. I have to help a friend shop her trousseau. I also found some amazing handloom saris that would be great for her.
