South India offers up a complexity of tastes. But the Northern part of the country has mostly been denied the delectable and fiery taste of South India. We present to you a guide on the best 5 places to have South Indian in Delhi

1. Andhra Bhavan

The Thali at Andhra Bhavan

You can locate all sorts of bhavans in Delhi. Every state has it’s own uniqueness and offers the best food that the state has. I have been to Andhra Bhawan a couple of times just for casual outing with friends over wholesome filling food
I realised that many people still don’t know about this gem.So this place deserve a status at the very top of the list.

Value for money – Perhaps the only one place where you get more value than what you pay for.
Food – Their USP. This place is all about food – food and good food . Do try the unlimited thali and Mutton curry.
Ambience – Who cares? Really! It’s a kitchen canteen so don’t expect anything more than excellent service and lip smacking food.

At 100/- rs the unlimited thali is a steal. It gives you full value for money. If you visit at lunch time ,try to reach there before 12.30 as it gets very crowded.
The Hyderabadi Biryani which is one of their best sellers is available only on Sunday.

2. Karnataka Food Centre

Tiffin Thali at Karnataka Food Centre

K.F.C is quite popular among the students of South Campus as well as the residents of RK Puram. One of the best places to have south Indian food in Delhi without having a big hole in your pockets. Located right next to Moti Bagh flyover it wears the look of a typical South Indian restaurant and has a spacious dinning facility as well.
Food – Maharaja Sajjige Dosa , Tiffin Thali ( assorted selected snacks)
Ambience – A perfect place to enjoy South Indian Food with a tranquil family atmosphere.
Pricing – As for the prices, they are dirt cheap. Average cost for 4 would not be more than 600 RS.
Overall- I have never had such fresh , hot , well seasoned and balanced flavours. The place never fails to impress. I will recommend the same for only a food outing with family and friends but not to sit around leisure to work or to kill some time and a big no no if on a date .

3. Sarvana Bhavan

Veg Thali at Sarvana Bhavan

I have seen this restaurant grow more popular over the years. Sarvana Bhavan promises something quite basic delivers it to near perfection. Their best bets are the Veg thali and Veg snacks Thali. The veg thali consists of Pudi , pickle, dal , varieties of sabzi , rice curd rasam halwa and varieties of other lip smacking and luscious south Indian dishes.
The snacks thali has masala idli ,mini dosa pongal and variety of tasty chutneys.  They also sell a variety of south indian snacks and namkeens .The staff is polite and helpful and place provides a perfect family ambience.

4. Mathews Café

This is one of the best places to have street style South Indian Food in Delhi. The food joint is located in RK puram. Be rest assured about the quality of food and service. Some of the best , hygienic South Indian food available at the cheapest rates
Food – For 30 bucks you get 3 enormous pieces of idli in a big bowl of sambar.

This place draws patrons from all walks and age groups. Only drawback is the unavailability of seating

Personal favourites : Onion rava Dosa (make special request to make with less oil) , paneer uttapham , rava idli , tamarind rice and vada sambar.

5. Carnatic Cafe

Carnatic cafe has minimalistic interior and even minimal swag. This place concentrates on dishing out some finger licking food.

Try the thick yet crisp Malleshwaram 18th cross dosa. Other options include the ghee roast and the ragi dosa. Served up with home style green, red and coconut chutney alongwith the omnipresent Sambhar, they make for a delectable trio. Their idlis are light and delicious. Finish your meal with an authentic Filter Coffee

Often listed amongst the best beaches in the world, Anse Lazio in Praslin, Seychelles truly open gates to altogether new world. And let me tell you, reaching here was quite a journey. One has to reach the bottom of the hill to Zimbabwe either by car or bus, then one has to trek over a large forested jungle clad hill and along some way before you reach the beach. But the journey is well worth the effort with views that take your breath away perfect with fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise waters that are so clear you can watch the fish swim around you, it's no surprise Anse Lazio is frequently called 'the best beach in the world'.

Sniffing is one of the essential steps to enjoying the flavour of any new drink. Sniffing opens up a new array of flavours that you can experience on your palate.

When traveling, definitely discover a Beverage destination. We headed to the @Takamaka Rum Seychelles distillery with @Creole Travel Services where we fell in love with the slow pace, exquisite beach and two barrel aged rums. The Extra Dark is aged twice, first in French Oak and then in reused Bourbon casks for three years and the St. Andre which has been aged for eight years in American Bourbon casks. Which one should we get back for tasting?
