Another rooftop, another Pan Asian restaurant that looks out on to the Delhi skyline, specially the airport and onto the road leading to T3. Tara, the Roseate House‘s newest Pan Asian restaurant makes for a superbly relaxing environment along with some of the loveliest of flavours from Japan. Located on the rooftop, the restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner with the missus. We decide to catch up a seat as Chef Paul John Abayan decided to thrill us with some of his Japanese creations.

One of the first dishes that I decide to open my evening with are Shrimp Popcorn served up with a side of spicy Mayo. The freshly made popcorn crackles perfectly on the palate with a hit of that mayonnaise. Although there is a delectable selection of Robata grills to be had, but it’s the Chicken and Leek Skewers that has us fascinated. A dish that I have tried out quite a few times at Roseate House over events, these bite sized morsels have a ton of flavour in it. There are a number of Grilled vegetables that you must try out including the Sweet Corn, Potato and Broccoli which are served with a spicy Ponzu butter. On the Robata skewers, there are some Shittake mushrooms, Asparagus and Broccoli stems that you must try out.

But the dish that has me falling in love with Tara is the Sashimi platter served with a dash of Wasabi. Our platter had some Salmon, Squid, Yellowtail and Blue Fin Tuna which is found in different fat levels (Akami is lean, Chutoro is medium fatty, and Otoro is the fatty one). A colourful plate which is attractive both on the eyes and the palate, this is one Sashimi platter you must try out. Do not forget about their Sushi platter including the Dynamite Roll and the Spicy Tuna Tempura.

Tara is one Japanese restaurant that you must try out soon enough.
