One place I love eating at is PLAY @ 30, a sports lounge/cafe set up in Hauz Khas Village, but I stopped going there after December since they had changed the menu and it was not really according to my taste. But a few days back, they launched a new menu and came up with a few very innovative cocktails. So, they had organised a tasting event. I missed going on a date and rather went for this and it was worth it.
We ordered Kurrant Mojito, Pomegranate cocktail and a few other drinks. The drinks were so refreshing and exotic. Then within a few minutes, my table was full of delicacies like Goan Chorizo Pav, Chicken Espatata with Caesar Salad and Cajun Dusted Fries, Cottage Cheese Espatata with Exotic Vegetables, Beer Marinated Chicken with Mint Dip, Tartar Sauce, Spicy Mayo, Pepperoni Pizza, Fish Fingers, Cheesecake, Gratinated Soya Chaap Masala, Mushroom Bruschetta, Loaded Nachos.

The Goan Chorizo Pav became everyone’s favourite. The bun was really soft. Chicken Espatata was so juicy and nicely cooked. Caesar Salad was tossed with just the right amount of dressing and thankfully wasn’t dry (as happens with most of the salads). Gratinated Soya Chaap Masala was one of the best dishes served that night. I am a mushroom person but I didn’t really like the Mushroom Bruschetta which was finished with parmesan cheese. I guess it would have been better if some more vegetables and spices were added to it. Cottage Cheese Espatata was Oh! So yum. But my favourite was Fish Fingers. I still can’t get over it. And how can I forget the cheesecake which was so moist and fluffy. So, basically I had one of the best indulgences at this place. Also, we really enjoyed ourselves playing pool and jenga.
Usually I would order Shawarma and Aglio Olio Peperoncino but the list of my favourites has definitely extended now.

Their executive chef, Pawan Bisht is so humble. He interacts with every guest and helps in selection of the dishes and also gives complimentary dishes. Free food always makes me happy 😛

But yes, it looks like they haven’t spent much on the interiors which makes the place look a little dead. Thus, a little improvement in the ambiance is needed.

To sum it up, Play @ 30 provides a perfect blend of food, drinks and games. My review is a BIG YES to this place. You should absolutely Play @ 30.
