A royal welcome is guaranteed as you enter the property. Rose petals are showered on with sounds of sarangi, nagada and santoor. A tikka is put on the temple to express their hospitality while a saffron chunri is adorned on our necks to represent the typical Rajasthan culture. With welcome drinks in our hands, we walk towards the lobby. I watch with admiration the rustic wall paint, the magnificent architecture , the brilliant décor that truly reflect the Mughal dynasty and Royal Rajputs of yore. We are greeted by Mr. Dharam Singh Gurjar , who is the diligent pillar of the hotel responsible for smooth operations of the hotel.

He brief us through the hotel inception and history. With 199 rooms inclusive of 3 massive suites, you can come, lie back and enjoy the touch of royalty. Be it the super soft mattresses with the four poster beds, or the wooden floors, the LCD TV or a marble floored walk in bathroom with a separate Hammam bath, the Fairmont attends to each and every one of your luxuries. The Parrot, which is the official insignia of the property shows up repeatedly in wall hangings, lamps and doorways. The Conference centre, one of the largest in the region, provides a striking venue for weddings. The Grand Ballroom features a soaring, hand-painted decorative ceiling and intricate grill detailing, jali, on the walls, evoking the palace windows from which the women of the court would watch the proceedingsimage

The walk upto the lobby area of Fairmont Jaipur leads up to the beautiful tea lounge Anjum. The place has a tasteful interiors that are warm and welcoming. With its round counter that has provision for tea, coffee, pastries and chocolates. Anjum also offers an awesome view of a water body. Even the coffees also provide an equivalent joyful experience because they have been infused with extra freshness. We strongly recommend their Cafe Latte and the high octane “Meter Coffee”.  Read Full Review of Anjum

With a seating capacity of 36 covers, the bar boasts an interesting collection of books that includes mythology, literature and history. Read more about Aza

After a tiring 6 hours journey from Delhi to Jaipur, a good massage was the need of the hour. Luckily, to my rescue was the Spa at Fairmont Hotel. hotel currently has Special Fairmont Spa with 4 dedicated massage rooms and 1 Thai traditional massage room, that offer a range of therapeutic and rejuvenating massages by trained professional therapists. The Swedish Massage (INR 3500++) is a light to moderate pressure massage consisting of long and circular gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It is a 60 minute session of massage to loosen tightened up muscles and eke out sore nerves. The massage ends with a few minutes in the steam room to sweat out your toxins and a shower or to feel all prim and content.image
