Jaypee Vasant Continental organized its annual Christmas cake mixing ceremony on 14th November i.e. Childrens Day with Kids from Akshay Pratishthan. Akshay Pratishthan is a famous Delhi NGO and kids added the much needed spark.

The event began with kids enthusiastically taking part in the cake mixing ceremony. The signature cake mix was prepared by mixing dry fruits. Apricots, cherries, cashew nuts, raisins and black currants etc were some of the dry fruits used. The mixing table was set up where all the fruits and the drinks were put together. The kids helped mixing all the ingredients.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Dilawar Singh Nindra, General Manager, Jaypee Vasant Continental, said, “Cake Mixing Ceremony, a ritual religiously followed the world over, is said to be a harbinger of good tidings and happiness. The cake mixing ceremony at Jaypee Vasant Continental marks the advent of the festive season and through this we look forward to spreading the warmth of this season of merry making. This year, we are blessed to have kids from Akshay Pratishtha with us to give them the experience of special family traditions across the world”.

My Experience at the Jaypee Vasant Continental cake mixing

I have attended few cake mixing before but this one holds a special value as we did it with the kids. We explained the kids why exactly this is done and later on there was a buffet where all the kids enjoyed their meal. The meal comprised of cakes, noodles, pakoras, pizzas etc and it was such a delight watching them eat. We even served them food and clicked pictures with them, it was a really fun filled day!

Me with the cuties!

I even tried my hand at the cake mixing. We ended up pouring 16 bottles of liquor in 60 kgs of cake at the cake mix. The traditional Christmas cake is an integral part of the Christmas celebrations at Jaypee Vasant Continental. Preparations are on at full swing cross at Jaypee hotels for a grand celebration this year. Winter exclusive menus and unique décor being curated specially for the upcoming festive season.
