Thingyaan is Burmese New Year Festival and Burma Burma went all out to impress us with their festive season special menu. I am going to talk about the must try’s from their menu:-

1. Lotus Root Salad

This is a lighter take on the traditional lotus root and its perfect for the Delhi summers. The crispiness of the lotus stem with the freshness and spiciness of the salad is absolutely delicious. One suggestion, have it with their peanut sauce, it really adds on to the flavors otherwise it might feel a little dry!

2. Khowsuey in a bite

Burma Burma you simply won me over with this dish. The Khowsuey paste is absolutely delicious. The crispy deep fried noodles with the KhowSuey paste is absolutely delicious. Its one of the best version of Khowsuey paste that I have ever eaten. You can spice it up by adding the chilly sauce to it. Its a dish that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

2. Mock Duck & Baby Potato Curry with Jasmine Rice

So I was very hesitant on ordering this one cause I am not a potato person. But the server was very persistent to try this one, so I decided to give it a shot. And I am glad I did! This dish is absolutely yummy and delicious. The curry is so flavorful, its a burst of flavors when you bite into the dish. The mock duck is basically soya and the textures of the gravy is so beautiful that it really compliments the soybean and potato. Have it with jasmine rice and thank me for the recommendation later! (:p)

4. In drinks- Eldragon and Burmese Blossom

Both the drinks are beautiful and you can easily try any one of these!

The Eldragon has fresh coconut water with elderflower syrup and dragon fruit seeds. One suggestion, get this drink topped with crushed ice. In the scorching heat of summer, this drink is a perfect cooler. I personally love the elderflower taste and I absolutely loved this combination.

The Burmese Blossom is a combination of fresh watermelon juice with cranberry juice, cherry and topped with rose water. This drink combination is thought out so well that it made me fly to heaven. The flavors are beautiful and goes really well with the ordered dishes. Its a perfect companion to the complete meal.

5. To end the Thingyaan feast- Moroccon Mint Tea

After such a heavy feast, digest the food with their Moroccan mint tea. The whole tea is a small presentation. With a timer, pumpkin seed and cheese cookies, the tea in itself is a really delightful experience. The Moroccon mint has a really strong flavor, helping you end the meal with a fresh feeling.
