When I received an invite for Sunday Brunch with LBB Delhi and Chandon, I was super excited. I had attended a cocktail making session with Chandon before also and it was super fun. To read my review & recipes from that event, click here. It was a beautiful surprise to see Rohan (from team Chandon) conducting this session as well. He started with my personal favorite drink-the Elderflower Spritzer. This drink is super fun in summers as it has a light fruity flavor. During winters, I just prefer a glass of Chandon with my meal!

The event was hosted by the Little Black Book Delhi at Fio, Epicuria Mall. The afternoon began with Suchita Salwan (co-founder LBB) discussing the purpose of the day’s luncheon. The Sunday Brunch was organised to celebrate the coming festive season and saying goodbye to 2016 in style. A common verdict- 2016 wasn’t such a great year. From Brexit to Trump being elected as US president to demonetization, it was quiet an year (politics is such an ice-breaker :p). We all quickly introduced ourselves and discussed our personal high and lows of 2016. The gathering had people majorly from design and hospitality industry. After a quick introduction, we were escorted to our seats.

Sunday Brunch in the Winter Sun with a glass of Chandon- is absolutely my type of a Sunday.

I got an opportunity of being seated with this beautiful couple who just started seeing each other in 2016. They discussed how they met and how it all began. Oh! how I just LOAVE love stories. In the sweet winter sun, with a sweet adventurous couple, discussing love- totally my type of Sunday Brunch.
Coming to the food bit of my Sunday afternoon- for the first course I was served Zesty Bocconcini & Quinoa salad. Bocconcini, asparagus, roasted beet & orange vinaigrette with roasted chickpeas. I absolutely loved the crunchy texture that chickpeas gave to the salad.

For the second course, I got Baked Fetta in a bag. It was quiet an interesting course. The citric tomatoes paired beautifully with Fetta cheese and was able to cut down the heaviness of Feta cheese. I absolutely loved the crushed potato with it! The mushy flavors of fetta and tomatoes was paired beautifully with small boiled firm potatoes. It was a symphony of flavors and I absolutely loved the play of textures in the meal.

For the third course, there was a platter of 4 desserts. I absolutely loved the tiramisu! It had a filling of coffee chocolate and the minute you break into the tiramisu, the liquid just oozed out. Absolutely sinful!

Dessert time!

Overall a Sunday spent well with some really beautiful people. Saying bye to 2016 in style! <3
