Argentine Food Festival
Machan, Taj Mahal

South American food is one of the most underrated cuisines all over the world. Although Mexican food has shot to prominence all over the world, all thanks to it’s Americanised version, the other cuisines of South America has been largely ignored. We, as food writers have been part of quite a few South American food festivals, so when the Taj Mahal Hotel recently organised the Argentine Food Festival, we headed there to try out the best of offerings.

The star of the show was Chef Patricia Suarez Roggerone whose restaurant La Vid has become the talk of Argentina with it’s fresh, seasonal menu along with the best of wines from the region. Along with Chef Arun Sundararaj, she has cooked up the best of Argentine flavours. Think a Squash Soup, Empanadas or Lamb cooked with Dough and Seasonal Veggies. Argentina’s iconic Yerba Mate Tea has been formed into a Sorbet along with a Flan de dulce le luche that you must try out.
